Covid-19 also effectively combated in Turkey
At the beginning of the pandemic, Turkey was only a small dot on the Covid 19 map. Then, however, the authorities suddenly registered a sharp increase in cases. As in all Western countries, this initially creates social, economic and political explosives. For the political leadership in Turkey is also facing a previously unknown challenge.
However, unlike in many other countries, measures were taken very early on, which initially had a massive impact on private and economic life, but which have shown good success in fighting the pandemic. First and foremost, selected clinics throughout the country were designated so-called pandemic hospitals, which were exclusively prepared for the treatment of Covit 19 patients. Only they have the necessary technical facilities and can provide the calculated number of intensive care beds. The many private clinics for aesthetic plastic surgery deliberately do not belong to this network of pandemic hospitals, as they do not have the necessary technical prerequisites and prior medical knowledge. Furthermore, programmes have been installed, above all to limit the proximity and frequency of contact and to maintain a minimum distance of 1.50 metres between individuals.
End of curfews planned for the end of May
In parallel to the rising number of Covid 19 cases, the Turkish government announced early on a three-day extensive curfew for Istanbul and 30 other cities and provinces. It will begin at midnight on Thursday, April 30, and end at the same time on Sunday. These 48-hour weekend curfews will be implemented in the 31 cities affected, including Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir. Key facilities such as pharmacies, bakeries and hospitals will generally remain open. The weekend curfews will continue at least until the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting, at the end of May.
Turkey is thus following the catalogues of measures of other countries, which have navigated their way through the crisis with exemplary success. The aim is to protect the population and to return economic life to normal as quickly as possible. For this reason, certain guidelines have been developed, especially for the period after the opening of the lockdown, probably after 28 May.
Beauty clinics on Anti-Covit 19 course
The sector of beauty operations is one of the most important business areas in Turkey. It has been given special attention from the beginning of the protection measures by not assigning them to pandemic hospitals. As private clinics dedicated exclusively to cosmetic surgery, dental aesthetics or eye laser surgery, they do not have to deal with any Covid-19 emergency. Rather, these clinics, which will probably be allowed to take care of their patients again from June 1st, will be especially prepared for the behaviour towards patients in the second phase of the Covid-19 crisis.
Great attention will be paid to compliance with the hygiene regulations and the rules of distance. As soon as the patients have reached the airport in Turkey, they will be taken over by the caretakers and provided free of charge with mouth and nose protection masks and disinfectants. One person at a time is transported next to the driver in voluminous vehicles such as the Mercedes VITO. This ensures a minimum distance of 1.50 metres between driver and co-driver. The vehicles are carefully disinfected after each passenger transport. For disinfection, agents with proven effectiveness against enveloped viruses are used. However, agents with an extended effective range against viruses such as “limited virucidal PLUS” or “virucidal” are also used.
Distance regulations guaranteed in the hotels
Serious agents of beauty operations in Turkey – such as Beauty Travels 24 – already ensure when selecting the hotels for your customers that they are able to comply with the requirements of the distance and hygiene regulations. At check-in, a distance of 1.50 metres should be just as possible as later in the breakfast room. Here – as in the entire clinic – only disposable crockery is used. The same applies to the clothing of the clinic staff, who are also provided with disposable products. In this way contact with contaminated carrier products can be completely avoided.
Serious hotels often even provide the organizers of medical trips with exclusive lifts for their customers. In addition, the hotels are often equipped with UV lamps. This is a simple and efficient disinfection method that has already been used successfully for years in food production, drinking water treatment and in the disinfection of ventilation systems.
Perfect programmes in the beauty clinics
The minimum distance rule also applies in the clinic lobby. Before the patient enters the clinic, his
Body temperature measured for fever. State-of-the-art digital and contactless infrared thermometers are used to identify and evaluate the temperature within two to three seconds. In addition to the standard disinfection programme, many beauty clinics in the waiting room and other important areas such as the hotel rooms are equipped with additional UV light.
All clinics place great emphasis on further training of their staff. The teams of doctors, including the entire clinic staff, undergo regular training and precautionary measures to ensure that the individual programmes are implemented correctly in terms of health policy and prophylactics. The aim is to provide perfect training for every employee in the clinics. Since Covid-19, shaking hands as a greeting is no longer used. Instead, a smile should ensure that virus transmission is stopped.
