1. Who organises my journey - how does it work?

Beauty Travels 24 organises your entire trip. We answer all your questions before your journey and show you all of the treatments and operations offered and what is possible. We work together with you step by step through your entire treatment journey. In Istanbul an English speaking care is there to support you. They are available 24 hours a day, so that you always have a competent contact person.

Telephone consultations as well as appointments. We will advise you at any time free of charge and without obligation, including evenings and weekends.

You will receive support from us which begins prior to booking in the consultation and continues during your entire stay in Istanbul, as well as after your surgery when you return home.

2. What is the quality of the service?

Our service quality has been tested for all the treatments (hair transplantation, Laser Eye, Cosmetic Surgery, Dentistry) following an internal as well as an external audit, both in Germany and in Turkey.

All patients who have received different treatments with us since 2008, have been contacted by TÜV North and have taken part in a customer survey.

These patients have graded our services from 1-6 as well as recommending us to other potential patients. We have been awarded the TÜV North certificate attaining very high grades.

3. Can one assume that the quality of the treatment is equivalent to procedures carried out in Europe?

Of course – In all areas of the operation we with work together with very qualified doctors. You are treated exclusively by experienced and specialised doctors, working in their area of expertise. So that you can be absolutely sure, you will receive a guarantee. Let us or the attending physician advise you on location.

4. What happens if I do not want to have my desired treatment on location?

This is not a problem. You only pay 250, – € for the costs incurred up to that point, e.g. for the transfer and preliminary examination, as well as the accommodation costs and you can enjoy your stay in Istanbul up until your departure.

5. Can we stay 1-2 days more in the clinic or do we need to go to the hotel?

You are welcome to stay in the clinic. Every further night’s stay in the eye clinic costs 35 € per person and per night.

If you want to stay in a hotel, you will be transferred the next day, after the follow-up and picked up from the hotel prior to your departure. However, please keep in mind that if you want to extend your stay for more than 1-2 days, the hotel should be booked beforehand. On the one hand it is easier for you and on the other hand, the clinic may need the room for other patients.

6. May we take an accompanying person?

Yes you may. For your companion only the airfare, as well as the accommodation costs per night will be added. Possibly also hotel costs, if you opt for an overnight stay in the hotel.

7. How will we understand the doctor in the clinic?

You always have English speaking care available – in all selected clinics and treatment areas, during your operation. As well as this all our highly qualified doctors know English.

8. Will we be collected from the airport?

Yes, we promise an all-round transfer: Airport – Hotel – Clinic – Hotel – Airport!

9. Do you organise group travel?

Yes, please see group appointments.

For group tours, Beauty Travels 24 are available for you on site 24hrs for your individual care (from your arrival – Hotel Check-in – Breakfast – Examination – OP – City Tour – Dinner – Aftercare – Return).

When you travel in a group, you can share experiences, fears, worries but also joys, sights and knowledge. In our supporting program we cater for your individual wishes and you will get to view the Bosphorus from its best side. Accompanying persons can come with you; it is also possible to extend your stay on site. Ask for an individual offer from us.

10. Do we have our own flights or does Beauty Travels 24 book it for us?

If you want we can book your flights for you when you return the completed patient registration form which you received from us with the sample flights. We require your desired travel period and airport of departure. The flight costs would then be deducted from your credit card, as stated in the patient registration form. We only require your bank details when we book your flights and your data will only be used for this purpose!

You can also book your own flights. In this case, we need your completed patient registration form with your flight booking confirmation, so we can arrange your entire trip with transfer etc..

11. When and how do I pay for the treatment / or accommodation?

You pay the package price for your treatment journey on location in cash and in EURO please or by debit / credit card. Please be aware that you may also be subject to bank surcharges when using the card abroad (up to 70 €), you should also check your daily limit. You pay for the flights by credit card directly to your chosen airline.

12. Who can I reach in an emergency?

With your booking confirmation you will also receive a travel guide. There are important telephone numbers which can be found in the case of an emergency.

Should an emergency occur or you have questions or concerns, we ask that you do not hesitate to call the phone numbers listed immediately on location.

13. Is there a waiting list? How long do I have to book in advance?

No, there is no waiting list. Appointments can be made at short notice with us. Patients of Beauty Travels 24 have the privilege to choose their desired dates freely. We adapt to your free time and organize your stay within your desired time period.

To ensure the smooth organisation, we recommend that you contact us a minimum of a week before your preferred dates of travel

14. How expensive are the flights?

The airlines constantly review their prices and they set new fixed offers according to supply and demand. The price is only fixed when the ticket is issued!

15. Do I have an aftercare treatment?

For laser eye, you should organize a follow-up 6 weeks after your surgery. You can do this with your local ophthalmologist or in Batigöz in Istanbul (50€). Please contact us for further information. We are happy to arrange an appointment for you.

Normally, for cosmetic surgery and hair transplantation, no aftercare treatment is necessary. If you do need it then please contact us and your local doctor.

16. Do I need to apply for a visa for Turkey?

17. What happens if I book my journey and then change my mind before departure?

The customer can withdraw from their health journey at any time prior to departure. The cancellation with Beauty Travels 24 must be made exclusively in writing by email or by post. Beauty Travels 24 reserves the right to an administration fee of 100 € for laser eye treatments and aesthetic dentistry; 150 € for hair transplants and 200 € for plastic surgery.

Should it merely lead to a postponement, the billed amount would be deducted from the cost of the rescheduled treatment.

A free cancellation is only possible if the customer can prove an illness with a doctor’s certificate, as well as booking a new flight / treatment (sending the flight booking confirmation to us) within 7 days.

Patients who do not make the journey without notice will be charged cancellation fees to the amount of 600 €.

Please note that you need to make your own flight cancellations – whether we have booked for you, or you have booked yourself.

18. How do I find the transfer driver at the airport?

So that you can find the transfer service without any problems, please go directly to the transfer after luggage collection. The transfer driver will be waiting for you at Istanbul Ataturk and Sabiha Gokcen Airport after luggage collection by the Vodafone shop. They will have a sign with “Beauty Travels 24” on.

19. Do I receive medication that I should take after the treatment?

Yes, if you are having a hair transplant, you will receive antibiotics and painkillers, it is essential that you continue to use these as prescribed by the doctor. (In most cases 1-2 weeks after surgery)

For a laser eye surgery, you will receive eye drops that you should continue to use for 2-3 days and then please buy more from a pharmacy (continue to use them for 3-6 months after surgery).

Please follow all instructions specified by the treating doctor for all treatments even for beauty operations or dental procedures, specifically regarding how and how long you should follow them for.

20. Can my child stay with me in the clinic?

Unfortunately that is not possible.

21. Do I have full catering available in the clinic and at the hotel?

In the clinic, you have full catering. The hotel prices only include breakfast.

22. Can I request my preferred doctor, who I would like to be treated by?

In case of laser eye and plastic surgery, YES.

For hair transplantation this is not possible because the doctors’ work as a team and 2 doctors always carry out the treatment together.

23. City tour and sight-seeing

Every Saturday (weather permitting) you can participate in a free city tour (excluding entrance fees).

You can also visit attractions in Istanbul by yourself. You can find a few in the travel guide – which we send out with the booking confirmation.

24. Do I have to buy something before my treatment / bring something?

For hair transplantation you can buy a cotton cap if you want. This should be a bit loose, so that the transplanted hairs and the points of extraction are not under pressure. Feel free to take several variants and ask the doctor directly, which would be the most suitable. Please also ensure that you take buttonable shirts / blouses which open at the front.

After laser eye surgery because your eyes will react very sensitively to light, it is vital that you take sunglasses with excellent UV protection with you.

After breast surgery, you should wear a special bra. You will receive one from the clinic. Experience shows, however, that this might not be sufficient, because you should wear it day and night.

For this reason, we recommend that you buy a second bra at home, as the special bras are very expensive in Turkey.

25. Is there WLAN / Wi-Fi both in the hotel as well as in the clinic?

Yes. In the clinic please request the code from your interpreter or the nurse, which allows you to access the Internet. The same is true when you stay at the hotel.

26. Can I see references / before-after photos before my trip by e-mail?

In the past, we were happy to send you before and after photos, etc. as well as giving you the chance to exchange experiences and views. However, competition laws in accordance with pharmaceutical-advertising laws strictly prohibit the release of references, testimonials or before – after photos. We ask for your understanding.

We understand that your safety is of the upmost importance, which is why our office in Rastatt near Karlsruhe has been open since 2008. We are happy to arrange you a consultation with us in Rastatt, to tell you about the clinic / medical team, we can also show you a few reports and opinions shared by our patients (with their permission).
